Even though there are some cases of Covid-19 in Iceland, it is one of the lowest-risk areas in the world and has been praised for dealing with the pandemic exceptionally well. Iceland has officially opened its borders again to travelers within the Schengen area and will likely open borders to the rest of the world as of July 1st. No self-quarantine is needed as long as you take a quick COVID-19 test at the airport. Please check with your local government’s regulations before traveling.
